FILE 04 · OPEN PROFILE

Ivan Danishevsky.

Esports pioneer. Data-platform founder. Long-term builder. Reluctant nomad. In daily pursuit of common sense.

I started in esports before the industry had a name. Built tournaments, communities, platforms, an analytics business, a national federation. Several companies founded, several sold or merged. Today I work on AI, streaming data, education, and tools that help knowledge last longer than the people who made it.

I am Ukrainian, and history made the choice for me — so I live as a true, full-time nomad. Not the Instagram kind. The "airport, laptop, visa, meeting, broken process, fix the system" kind. No home base, no operating base — just the next country and the work that follows. The real ones are rare. If you are one, say hi.

Common sense, applied daily. I find the nuance everywhere — expos, conferences, hotels, apps, AI workflows, dashboards — and ship a small fix the next morning. Across Awerti and the rest of the portfolio, that compounding is the work.

If influence cannot be measured, it will usually be exaggerated. If it can be measured badly, it will be manipulated. If it can be measured responsibly, it can become useful.

What I look for, on the road6 themes — the why behind the flags

A country explains itself through its small things.

[ 01 ]

Service quality

Hotels, airlines, restaurants, support teams, hospitality rituals, and the difference between "luxury" as decoration and quality as care.

[ 02 ]

User experience in real life

Forms, queues, check-ins, transport, payments, signage, airports, border crossings — the small things that decide whether a system respects the user.

[ 03 ]

Education and youth culture

How different countries prepare young people for digital life, future jobs, language, technology, competition, media.

[ 04 ]

Infrastructure and mobility

Roads, airports, ports, mobile networks, local transport, logistics, and the invisible layers that make a place easy or exhausting.

[ 05 ]

Bureaucracy and trust

Visas, documents, border logic, identity systems, public services — and how much friction a society creates for normal life.

[ 06 ]

Common sense culture

How people solve everyday problems, how institutions behave under stress, and what different places can learn from each other.

§ 05 — Off-clockWhere the curiosity goes

The work doesn't stop at the office. Some of it never started there.

[ 01 ] · Eruptions, lava fields, plume

Volcanoes — from the helicopter window.

Multiple active eruptions seen up close — by helicopter where roads cannot reach. Watching molten rock decide what the planet looks like next is not a metaphor. It is a research method.

Multiple expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic. Icebreakers through frozen seas, walking on pack ice, the kind of silence that only exists where the map runs out and the cold makes every system honest.

Drones — flown a lot, sunk a few.

Flown drones across most of the places I've been — including a couple lost to volcanoes and one buried somewhere in Bolivia's salt flats. Love FPV. The same instinct as software: build, push to limit, learn from the crash, fly again.

§ 06 — Untitled10 instruments · mostly open source · two open calls

Hit a broken thing. Ship the smallest honest fix. Two of these still need people.

Ventures answer to a business case. These answer to whatever broke that week — a match queue, a dish, a media library, a dispute nobody can read straight — and by the next morning there is usually a repository.

Most are free, most are open source, and the scratchpad they come out of is unt1.com: every great project starts as untitled 1, rights reserved until renamed. Two are not finished — and they are first for exactly that reason.

PRE-LAUNCH · LF TEAM

🇺🇦 esports.ua

The first Ukrainian esports portal — news, teams, tournaments and jobs in one place.

News and events in one feed, player and team profiles, an all-Ukraine Discord, a tournament engine wired into both the server and the site, and a jobs board for the roles the scene actually hires for — editors, tournament staff, the rest.

The ask

Looking for a team — and not only developers. Editors, translators, video and graphics, social, Discord moderation, tournament staff, partners. Volunteer or paid, both are real.

PRE-LAUNCH · LF TEAM & PARTNERS

🇺🇦 justice.ua

Chaos → structure. An educational hub for reading agreements and disputes honestly.

Two tools: how to write down an agreement in identical form for both sides, and how to separate what actually happened from how it is being characterised. It does not decide who is right — it makes the situation legible enough that you can.

The ask

Looking for experts who work from facts rather than emotions, plus partners and donors. Independent, not a government body, and explicitly not legal advice — all of it stated on the page, on purpose. The service is paid so that it can stay independent, not because there is a profit in it.

01

Measure it yourself

Read the instrument. Report what it says. Invent nothing.
  • myping.is myping.is
    LIVE browser · latency · 9 games

Latency to every CS2, Dota 2, Valorant and LoL region, from a browser tab.

Browsers cannot open raw UDP sockets, so it probes over HTTPS beside each matchmaking region and says so — plainly, on the page. Absolute numbers carry TCP overhead; the ordering is the part it stands behind. Where coverage is too thin to be honest it prints an em dash instead of a number.

  • nearest-exit github.com/faeton/nearest-exit
    PRE-ALPHA · OSS CLI · Python · provider-neutral

Ranks Mullvad, Nord, AirVPN and PIA relays by measured latency — not by the client's guess.

A VPN client will happily hand you a server that is geographically plausible and slow. This one measures median RTT, jitter and loss from the network you are actually on. Provider load is a tiebreaker, never the ranking.

  • DishWatch dishwatch.github.io
SHIPPED · OSS Starlink · macOS + Go CLI · MIT

A night watch for a Starlink dish: signal, obstructions, outages, watts.

Reads the dish's own local API once a second — no account, no cloud, nothing leaving the network. The dish remembers fifteen minutes; this remembers across reboots, and says so when a gap means it cannot know. Outages are counted as events, because uptime is a ledger, not a vibe.

02

Second opinions

One model gives you a reading, not the answer.
  • multicooker github.com/faeton/multicooker
    SHIPPED · OSS Python · Docker · LLM-as-judge · MIT

Runs Claude, Codex, Gemini and Grok on the same brief, in parallel pots.

Each agent works in its own container on your existing subscriptions — no API bills — then other models read the outputs blind under A/B/C labels and score them against your rubric. You get a leaderboard and a corpus of divergent readings of one brief. Where the models disagree is precisely where the brief was underspecified.

  • claude-grok-plugin github.com/faeton/claude-grok-plugin
SHIPPED · OSS Claude Code plugin · read-only · MIT

Grok as a strictly read-only reviewer inside Claude Code.

A second opinion should answer, not quietly rewrite your repo. Every invocation strips and denies the mutating tools, and the deny rules override anything it would otherwise inherit. Timeouts and cancellations are reported as real failures rather than silent empty successes — the same rule as everything else here.

03

Media that travels

Footage from the road has to land somewhere — and play on the plane.
  • MediaPorter porter.md
    v0.9 · OSS macOS · Swift · TV app · no telemetry

Transcodes and syncs a video library straight into the iPhone and iPad TV app.

No iCloud round-trip, no browser uploader, no telemetry — "not anonymous, not aggregated, not for product improvement." Every feature exists because of a specific way the TV app fails on arbitrary video: AC3 becomes AAC because the audio switcher silently drops AC3. It ships with no bundled API keys on purpose; you bring your own.

  • immich-my github.com/faeton/immich-my
IN USE · PUBLIC REPO Python · Immich sidecar · trip-based

Trip-based ingest for Immich: sidecars, DJI telemetry, album sync.

Fixes metadata with XMP sidecars instead of rewriting originals, harvests DJI telemetry into real GPS tracks, and clusters geo-dated assets into trips that become albums. Immich stays upstream and unmodified — the custom logic lives beside it, never inside it.

04

Play, taken seriously

The same instinct, pointed at a card table and a profile URL.
  • Raspisnoy raspisnoy.com
LIVE card game · web · Telegram · Discord

The reference rules for Odessa poker: bid your tricks, then take exactly that many.

Free, no stakes. Bots, multiplayer, a Telegram Mini App, a Discord Activity, and an offline scorekeeper for a real kitchen table. The dealer is forbidden from letting the bids add up — somebody at the table is always forced to miss. That forced miss is the pressure the whole game runs on.

  • steamcommunitx steamcommunitx.com
SHIPPED · OSS Cloudflare Worker · MIT

Change one character in a Steam profile URL and land on Dotabuff.

steamcommunity.com becomes steamcommunitx.com and the redirect does the rest. Vanity URLs resolve through the Steam API and cache; SteamID64 and SteamID3 convert locally with no call at all. The entire user interface is a typo.

Also on the bench

Everything on this list is finished enough to use. The two at the top are not — and that is exactly what they are asking for. They need people more than they need code.

§ 07 — Operating principlesHow decisions get made

Evidence before performance. Common sense, then complexity. Always in that order.

01

Evidence before performance

If something matters, it should be possible to explain it, measure it, compare it, or at least describe the uncertainty honestly.

02

Common sense is underrated

Many systems do not fail because the problem is impossible. They fail because nobody asked the obvious question early enough.

03

Users are not decoration

A process that looks good in a boardroom but makes real people suffer is not a good process. It is a slide with victims.

04

Institutions need translation

New digital culture moves faster than governments, schools, and traditional companies. Part of the work is translating between worlds without flattening either side.

05

Metrics need ethics

Data is powerful, but it can also reward the wrong behavior. Good measurement should improve decisions, not just create prettier dashboards.

06

Travel teaches systems

A country explains itself through airports, pharmacies, schools, roads, hotels, payments, forms, and what happens when something goes wrong.

07

Optimization is a daily habit

I consult, advise, and quietly fix things across whatever crosses the desk — expos, events, content production, conferences, businesses, AI rollouts that shouldn't be dumb. Most systems fail not from one big flaw but from a hundred small ones nobody bothered to name. Naming them is half the job. Fixing one a day, across the portfolio and outside it, is the rest.

§ 08 — Reach

Looking for partners, allies, world-changers.

Esports · streaming analytics · creator intelligence · AI systems · education · digital legacy · responsible influence · public-interest technology · service quality. If you are building something useful, measurable, and honest — and you treat common sense as a daily discipline, not an afterthought — I am interested.
